This bread is so simple to make…yet so delicious! I use frozen bread dough that I have allowed to thaw and rise to the top of the pan. You could certainly use homemade bread…just wait until the dough has risen for the final time and just before you would put it in the oven to do the following…
*Roll out the dough onto a floured surface
*Scatter small slices of butter around on the flattened surface of dough…I usually slice a thin amount of butter off the stick and then break it into four parts with my fingers…I put the pieces about an inch or two apart and keep doing it until the surface is covered
*Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the dough
*Sprinkle cinnamon
*You can add nuts or raisins or some other dried fruit also if you’d like!
*Roll up the dough
*Put it in a greased pan and bake at 325 (300 for a non-stick pan) for an hour
I usually make this the night before and then we have a delicious breakfast in the morning!
(oh and please excuse the iphone pic…it’s as good as it gets first thing on a cloudy morning with those awful yet energy efficient fluorescent lights)
Enjoy!!!
