The Path Less Traveled…

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

…Robert Frost

Just some soul food for you on this Friday. I’m sorry I have not been here…there is so much to say and so few words that can encompass it all. When I can, I will.  Until then…  xo

Hi Maegan, thanks for the gentle reminder, the choice is ours which road to take and as I take walk that road I say this prayer, “Lord, help me to remember, nothing is going to happen to me today, that You and I together cannot handle.” Blessings to you and yours…………..

meg- i have been thinking of you this week. hope all is weel. happy halloween to you and the girls! love to you! amy

No need to apologize, my dear. Sometimes we have to attend to life. Completely understand. I hope that all is well.

Beautiful fall image – love the colors!

Frost is one of my favorites…
(Thank you for the reminder, actually, I’ve been meaning to take the kids up to his farm house in NH – hope it’s not too late in the season…)
That one is lovely.

On of my all time favorite poems. I love your picture to go with it. It is perfect!

*Sigh* Thanks for the reminder that sometimes the path most interesting is the one we have yet to finish.

Oh my goodness, this image is simply breath taking. Seriously, it’s gorgeous.

hope things are OK. we’ll be here when you are ready to come back :)

Oh, such a beautiful picture. And I love that poem. Sometimes we’re called to take the road less traveled. And it’s good. Still praying for peace and clarity.

wonderful autumnal shot!

This looks like a painting. Gorgeous light!

Frost is one of my favorites, too. We had to recite this poem in speech class so I practiced it so many times I thought I was going to go crazy. My favorite Frost poem is A Cow in Apple Time, but Mending Wall takes a close second. I could discus Frost for hours.

Wonderful poem and wonderful picture. We’ll still be here when you’re ready :-)

Such a beautiful photo and a wonderful poem – thanks so much for sharing!
