Lately, I have been noticing that I’m craving fresh: fresh air, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh paint on the walls, fresh experiences for the kids and the family. As we approach the final month of un-official summer, I cannot help desperately wanting to make the most of these last few weeks. And in my case, I’m craving all things fresh!

I have already made the bold statement that this weekend there will be minimal work and maximum play…preferably outside, somewhere gorgeous, with a lake for swimming. I wish we could go camping…for real…with a tent and a fire and outhouses…but I’m just not sure we’re ready for that. But enjoy the outdoors, the summer, and each other…that we can do!

I feel this is also the perfect time to announce that I’m having a Fresh Faces Campaign the entire month of August! Together we can simultaneously freshen up your family photos and my portfolio! You’ll enjoy 50% off my regular session fees and your get a disk with your images. So, if you’re local {or plan to be local anytime during August} email me and I can give you more information!

And for those of you who are not local, I’d like to offer you 10% off your total print purchase from my Etsy shop! Because maybe you’re craving fresh too and need some fresh art on your walls! So…the sale will start now and last through the month of August. Just type the word FRESH into the ‘message to seller’ during checkout and I’ll refund 10% of your purchase through PayPal. I hope to add some fresh prints to the shop as well so keep your eyes peeled!

And…I know you thought I couldn’t possibly pack any more pure, fresh goodness into this one singular post. But, alas, I have. Next week, all week long, my friend Heather is hosting a Simply Summer series featuring daily guest posts on the topic of savoring the last of these slow summer days. I am super excited to be one of those guest authors and I do hope you’ll put Heather’s blog on your list of places to be next week!

I love your pictures! Wish I was local, my boys could use some good pictures, not the blurry ones I have of them running past me!!

I love summer freshness-we are tent campers and the night air is refreshing. Even the smoke from the fire tends to refresh me.

LOVE these photos meg!!

Beautiful photos, Maegan! Love the minimum work, maximum play rule … we could do with that more often! Enjoy!

That last photo is so wonderful. That is what happens when you spend time in Maine. It’s all the fresh air.

I have the same table and I am off to buy some white paint:)
Then heading to the patchwork shop to buy some fabric to make a quilt…

I am wondering what camera you use when taking pictures? I see it’s a Nikon but what kind?

These photos are just too adorable! I love the colors and really love the props – so many soft blues and greens. If I had kids, I would totally wish that you could do a similar set up for a photo session! Just really sweet and vintage and it looks like the girls had just as much fun! I can also understand the desire for fresh things – routines and emotions can be so hard to break out of sometimes!
